May 5 – Evening

Read

And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

(Mark 11:25)

Pray

Dear God,

You have taught me the importance of forgiveness in this verse, where it says, “And when You stand praying, if You hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that Your Father in heaven may forgive You Your sins.” Help me to be obedient to this teaching and to release any bitterness, anger, or hurt that I may be holding onto towards others. Grant me a heart of forgiveness, just as You have forgiven me, so that I may experience the freedom and peace that comes from letting go of grudges and resentment.

I pray that You would give me the strength and grace to forgive those who have wronged me, and to seek reconciliation and restoration in my relationships. Help me to extend the same mercy and grace to others that You have shown me, and to trust in Your perfect justice. Thank You for Your unconditional love and forgiveness, and for showing me the way to live in unity and harmony with others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
