May 23 – Evening

Read

And Elijah came near to all the people and said, ‘How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.’ And the people did not answer him a word.

(1 Kings 18:21)

Pray

Dear God,

You are the almighty and all-powerful God who deserves our unwavering devotion and loyalty. Just as Elijah challenged the people in this verse to choose whom they would serve, I also want to wholeheartedly declare my commitment to You. I acknowledge that You are the only true God and I choose to serve and follow You faithfully. Help me to remain steadfast in my faith and to always put You first in my life.

I pray that You will strengthen my resolve to stand firm in my belief in You, even when the world around me may try to pull me away. Give me the courage and determination to consistently choose Your ways and to live according to Your will. May my life be a reflection of my dedication to You and may I always honor You with my thoughts, words, and actions. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
