October 19 – Morning

Read

Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.

(Psalm 90:10)

Pray

Dear God,

You are the eternal and unchanging God, the one who has been our dwelling place throughout all generations. As the verse this verse reminds us, our days may be just seventy years, or eighty if we have the strength, yet their span is but trouble and sorrow; for they quickly pass, and we fly away. In light of this reality, I pray for Your wisdom and guidance in living each day to the fullest, making the most of the time You have given me on this earth. Help me to prioritize the things that truly matter, to seek Your will in all that I do, and to live with a sense of urgency knowing that my time here is limited.

I ask for Your grace and strength to face the challenges and sorrows that come with each passing day. May I find comfort in Your presence and peace in knowing that You are with me, regardless of the trials I may face. As I navigate the fleeting nature of life, I pray for a heart of wisdom, a spirit of perseverance, and a deep trust in Your unfailing love. Thank You, Lord, for the gift of each day, and may I use it to honor and glorify You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
