July 31 – Evening

Read

He put another parable before them, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field.’

(Matthew 13:31)

Pray

Dear God,

You are the God of the small and insignificant, yet You can do great things with the little we have to offer. Just like the mustard seed that grows into a great tree, help me to have faith that the small things I do for Your kingdom can have a tremendous impact. I pray that You would help me to trust in Your power and have faith in Your ability to bring about growth and transformation in my life and the lives of those around me.

I ask that You would give me the wisdom to recognize the small opportunities for service and the courage to act on them. May I be faithful in sowing seeds of love, kindness, and grace, knowing that You will bring about a great harvest in Your perfect timing. Help me to be patient and persistent in my prayers and efforts, knowing that You are at work even in the smallest of ways. Thank You for being a God who can do immeasurably more than I could ask or imagine.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
