January 20 – Noon

Read

Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.

(Acts 9:31)

Pray

Dear God,

You are our source of peace and comfort in a world filled with chaos and turmoil. We come before You seeking the same rest and encouragement that the early church experienced in this verse. With the constant struggles and challenges we face, we ask for Your presence to be felt in our lives, bringing us the reassurance that our faith in You will not be in vain. Help us to experience the unity and edification that comes from walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, just as the early church did.

We ask for Your strength and guidance to be evident in our lives as we strive to grow in our faith and share it with those around us. May we continue to seek You diligently and be a source of hope and encouragement to others, just as the early church was. Empower us to be a witness of Your love and grace in our communities, spreading the message of salvation and serving as a beacon of light in a dark world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
