December 6 – Evening

Dear God,

You have called me to make my calling and election sure, to be diligent in my commitment to follow and serve You. Help me to continually seek to grow in my faith and to develop the qualities of Christlikeness, such as virtue, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, and love. Give me the strength and perseverance to pursue holiness and to avoid the snares of this world. Guide me in making the right choices and empower me to live a life that brings glory and honor to Your name.

I pray for Your grace and wisdom to not only be a hearer of Your word, but also a doer. Help me to be faithful in bearing good fruit and to remain steadfast in my faith, so that I may never stumble. May my life be a testimony of Your transformative power and Your love for all people. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Señor,
Tu palabra nos exhorta a dar todo nuestro esfuerzo para confirmar nuestro llamado y elección. Ayúdame a ser diligente en cultivar las virtudes que menciona el apóstol Pedro, para que no tropiece ni caiga. Concede, Señor, que mi vida refleje la fe, virtud, conocimiento, dominio propio, paciencia, piedad, afecto fraternal y amor, para así dar testimonio de tu obra en mi vida. Que mi fe sea firme y que busque crecer cada día en amor y buenas obras.

Señor, fortaléceme en los momentos de debilidad y concédeme la gracia de perseverar en mi fe. Que mi vida sea una expresión viva de la obra redentora que realizaste en la cruz. Ayúdame a vivir con la certeza de mi llamado y elección, confiando en que tu gracia me sostendrá hasta el día de tu regreso. En el nombre de Jesús, Amén.

Por lo cual, hermanos, tanto más procurad hacer firme vuestra vocación y elección; porque haciendo estas cosas, no caeréis jamás.
