Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
You are my strength and my protector, my shield and my refuge. Your word tells me that it’s better to spend one day in Your house than a thousand elsewhere. Fill my heart with the desire to dwell in Your presence and seek Your face continually. Help me to rely on You for everything I need and find my true fulfillment in You alone.
Grant me the grace to trust in Your provision and guidance as I journey through this life. I pray that my heart will be set on seeking You above all else, and that my life may reflect Your love and grace to those around me. Thank You for Your unending love and mercy, and for the promise of eternal life with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
