Read

My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you. Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.

(Job 42:5-6)

Pray

Dear God,

You are great and mighty, and Your wisdom is beyond our understanding. Like Job, I confess that I have spoken of things I did not fully comprehend. I acknowledge that my knowledge and understanding are limited, and I humbly seek Your forgiveness for any pride or presumption in my thoughts and words.

You have revealed Yourself to me in ways that are beyond my comprehension, and I am in awe of Your power and sovereignty. I surrender my will and my understanding to You, and I trust in Your perfect wisdom and love for me. Help me to trust in Your goodness and to walk in humility and awe of You. Thank You for Your grace and mercy, and for the hope and peace that comes from knowing You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
