April 26 – Evening

Read

He was driven from among the children of mankind, and his mind was made like that of a beast, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. He was fed grass like an ox, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, until he knew that the Most High God rules the kingdom of mankind and sets over it whom he will.

(Daniel 5:21)

Pray

Dear God,

You are sovereign and in control of all things, as this verse reminds us. You raise up and bring down kings and rulers according to Your will. Help me to trust in Your divine plan, even when I am faced with uncertainty and challenges in my life. Give me the strength and faith to surrender to Your perfect will, knowing that You are always working for my good and for Your glory.

Lead me to have a heart that seeks after Your will and Your kingdom first. Give me the wisdom and courage to follow Your guidance even when it may go against my own desires and plans. May I always remember Your sovereignty and trust in Your unfailing love and wisdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
