August 24 – Evening

Dear God,

You have called me to be sober-minded and set my hope fully on the grace that will be brought to me at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Help me to focus my mind and heart on this hope, to turn away from distractions and negative influences, and to live a life of faith and obedience to Your Word. Give me the strength and clarity of mind to resist the temptations and pressures of this world, and to fix my eyes on the ultimate goal of being with You for all eternity.

I pray that You would fill me with Your Holy Spirit and renew my mind each day, so that I may live in a manner worthy of the calling I have received. May my thoughts, words, and actions reflect the hope and grace that You have given me through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You for Your love and faithfulness, and for the assurance of Your presence with me each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Señor,
Tu palabra nos exhorta a estar sobrios y a poner toda nuestra esperanza en la gracia que nos será traída cuando Jesucristo sea revelado. Ayúdanos a mantener nuestras mentes claras y enfocadas en ti, para que podamos vivir de acuerdo con tu voluntad y glorificarte en todo lo que hagamos. Que nuestro corazón esté firme en la esperanza que tenemos en Cristo, y que podamos vivir una vida santa y obediente a tu llamado.

Te pedimos que nos des la fortaleza y la determinación necesarias para resistir las tentaciones y los obstáculos que se nos presenten en el camino. Ayúdanos a mantener nuestra fe firme y a no desviarnos de tu camino, sabiendo que has preparado para nosotros una herencia incorruptible. Que podamos vivir con temor reverente, sabiendo que fuiste tú quien nos rescato de la vida vacía que llevábamos.

Por tanto, ceñid los lomos de vuestro entendimiento, sed sobrios, y esperad por completo en la gracia que se os traerá cuando Jesucristo sea manifestado;
