Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”
(Genesis 32:28)
Pray
You have promised in Your word that You will bless and transform me just as You did for Jacob in this verse. I come before You in humility, seeking Your blessing and transformation in my life. Help me to surrender my will to Yours and to trust that You will fulfill Your promises in my life just as You did for Jacob. Give me the strength and faith to persevere in seeking Your will and to embrace the changes that You want to make in me.
I pray that You will reveal Yourself to me in new and powerful ways, and that I will come to know You more deeply as I walk in obedience to Your word. I thank You for Your faithfulness and for the assurance that You will never leave me nor forsake me. Help me to continually seek Your presence and Your blessing in my life, knowing that You are always with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
